The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has established an examination centre for health practitioners aiming for jobs abroad, making it the second facility of its kind in Africa, after South Africa.
The initiative will significantly reduce costs for medical professionals required to take mandatory exams.
KMTC CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch highlighted that this centre will unlock job opportunities in high-demand countries like the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. โOur graduands and health practitioners can now sit for exams locally, cutting down on travel expenses,โ he stated.
To further support students, KMTC has updated its curriculum to include foreign languages such as French, German, Arabic, and Amharic, equipping them for international opportunities.
With 86 campuses and over 66,000 students, KMTC is committed to producing a competent health workforce both locally and globally.
Dr. Oluoch emphasized the institutionโs goal of becoming a globally competitive training hub, while KMTC Board Chairman Joseah Cheruiyot expressed gratitude for government support in enhancing program quality.
