2 students at Ramba Boys tragically die after Septic Tank Collapses

Two students have tragically died at Ramba Boys High School in Siaya County following the collapse of a septic tank on the premises.

The Form Four students lost their lives on Saturday, March 22, 2025, leading to protests from fellow students at the school. Two other students were taken to the hospital for medical attention.

The incident occurred while the students were having dinner, when the structure unexpectedly collapsed, trapping them inside.

“Another tragedy! I am deeply saddened to hear that two young boys at Ramba Boys High School have lost their lives due to the septic tank collapse. May their young souls find peace as we continue to investigate the circumstances,” said Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

The deceased are reported to be Form Four Green students who had recently returned from an AIDS awareness event.
