“Sub County Directors of Education in-charge of private centres, Heads of Primary and Principals of secondary schools are informed to log into the registration portal using their credentials and edit the data by 15th March, 2020,” says Dr. Mercy G. Karogo says the registration portal has been activated for the editing of the 2020 KCPE and KCSE registration data and photographs.

“Errors on registration data noted earlier during the verification process should be corrected online and nominal rolls printed for final verification,” she adds.

The editing process will not allow insertion of new candidates or deletion of candidates and any requests on the same should be communicated officially to KNEC by submission of letters and registration requirements by 16th March, 2020.

The registration of candidates for the 2020 KCPE and KCSE examinations ended on 15th February, 2020. Close to two million candidates have been registered to sit for this year’s national examinations. According to statistics released by the Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec, 1,938,667 candidates will sit for the final primary and secondary examinations in 2020. Of this number some 751,150 candidates will sit the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations while 1,187,517 others will sit the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations.
