2024 School calendar – Revised Term Dates

School Term Dates 2024: 2024 school calendar with the new term one opening dates is released by the ministry of education.

Modified School Calendar for MoE 2024. The 2024 schedule for teachers’ training colleges and pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools was released by the Ministry of Education on Friday.

After 13 weeks of instruction, the pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools will cease on April 5, 2024, following their first term on January 8, 2024.

They will, however, get a three-day half-term break from February 29 to March 3 in between, followed by a three-week vacation from April 8–26 at the end of the term.

The second term will be for 13 weeks, starting on May 6th and ending on August 2. Then June 20–23 is scheduled for half-break.

After that, the students will take a further three weeks off, from August 5 until August 25.

The last term of the year, which runs from August 26 to October 25, will prepare students for the October 28–31 Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) exams.

Then, in the midst of the extended December break that would last from October 28 to January 3, 2025, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams will take place from November 4–22.
