2025 TSC Promotion Interviews Scoring Guide & Marking Scheme.

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has revealed the 2025 Promotion Interviews Scoring Guide & Marking Scheme. According to the TSC scoring guide, Lenght of stay in the current grade carries a majority of the marks which is 50 percent.

Another area carrying a bulky of marks is age of the teacher which has been awarded a maximum mark of 30 marks.

Here is a breakdown of the current TSC promotion interview scoring guide:

Academic and Professional Qualifications: Maximum score is 5 marks.

  • Masters Degree: 5 marks
  • Bachelors Degree: 3 marks

Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC, Examiner: Maximum score is 4 marks.

Lenght of stay in current Grade: Maximum score is 50 marks.

  • 7 years and above: 50 marks
  • 6 years: 40 marks
  • 5 years: 30 marks
  • 4 years: 20 marks
  • 3 years: 10 marks

2025 TSC Promotion Interviews Scoring Guide & Marking Scheme

Performance Management/ TPAD Rating: Maximum score is 10 marks.

  • 81% and above TPAD marks: 10 marks
  • 61-80% TPAD marks: 8marks
  • 41-60% TPAD marks: 6 marks
  • 21-40% TPAD marks: 4 marks
  • 1-20% TPAD marks: 2 marks

Age of the Teacher as per the National Identity Card: Maximum score is 30 marks.

  • Age of 55 years and above: 30 marks
  • Age of 50 to 54 years: 26marks
  • Age of 45 to 49 years: 22 marks
  • Age of 40 to 44 years: 18 marks
  • Age of 30 to 39 years: 14 marks

Presentation by a teacher: Maximum score is 1 mark.
