72 covid-19 cases recorded today; total cases now at 1,286: Full statistics

Kenya recorded confirmed that 72 individuals tested positive for the corona virus, from the 2,711 samples that were tested on Monday. The cumulative case load of positives now stands at 1,286 and the total number of samples so far tested is 61,971.

Another (9) patients who have recovered from the disease have been discharged today  bringing the total number of those who have recovered to 402.

  • 70 cases are Kenyans,
  • 1 Somali National, and
  • 1 Ugandan.

Of the positive cases;

  • 44 are males
  • 28 are females.

Age range is:

  • 12 years for the youngest
  • 78 years for the oldest.
DISTRIBUTION OF TODAY’S CASES PER COUNTY

The positive cases are spread in the following counties;

  • Nairobi 52 cases;
  • Mombasa 11;
  • Kiambu 7;
  • Isiolo 1 and
  • Turkana 1.

Turkana becomes the latest county to record a case. This now brings to 29 the counties that have reported Covid-19 case(s).

Breakdown of cases by sub-counties; Nairobi;
  • Langata (21) cases;
  • Dagoretti North (15);
  • Kamukunji and Kibra four (4) cases each,
  • Embakasi East two (2),
  • Kasarani three (3),
  • Dagoretti South one (1),
  • Makadara and Mathare one case (1) each.
Mombasa cases are from;
  • Nyali (4),
  • Mvita (3),
  • Kisauni (3)
  • Changamwe (1).
Kiambu County;
  • Limuru (2),
  • Githunguri, Kabete, Ruiru, Thika & Kikuyu, (1) case each.

Isiolo county (1) case from mandatory quarantine,
