Agoro Sare’s Boys Basketball Team News, Fixtures & Results

A Spotlight on Agoro Sare’s Boys Basketball Team.

As action kicks off at the 2024 Nyanza Region Secondary Schools’ Term One Games, focus will be on Homa Bay’s Boys basketball Champs, Agoro Sare. The Oyugis based sports’ power house has been pooled alongside Siaya’s newbie Sawagongo, Kisii champs and regulars Nyanchwa boys and former national champions Maseno school.

The Benson Ochieng coached boys will be hoping for a stellar performance at this year’s regional games.

They last played at the National Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association, KSSSA, games in 2019; at Shimo La Tewa High where they finished third after Laiser Hill and Dagoretti High. In the run-up to the nationals, that year, Agoro narrowly outwitted former National Champs Maseno School 56-54 in a nail biting Nyanza regional final played at Homa Bay School.

Agoro have had an impressive performance so far, this year. In the Eliud Owalo Basketball tournament, played on 2nd and 3rd March, they defeated archrivals Onjiko 64-27 in a pulsating final. They had earlier on shrugged off Nyanchwa Boys 64-27 at the Semis.

At the Homa Bay County games, this year, Agoro ran riot and handed Ototo Mixed a 107-16 defeat to emerge champs again.
