Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training Institute, TTI, is a registered Public Technical and Vocational College (TVC) that is located at the gateway of Mombasa near Moi international Airport, along Moi International Airport Road, Port Reitz Ward, Changamwe Sub-County, in Mombasa County. It is about half a kilometer before and on the left hand side of the Airport Police first check point at Mwingo village, facing the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. The institution on the other side is about seven kilometers from Miritini SGR Station
Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training The Institution operates under the Education Act, TVET Act 2013 and offers curricular developed by Curriculum Development Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC), Kenya Institute of curriculum development (KICD), National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) among others.
The institution was registered in the year 2016 and opened its doors to trainees in various programmes in September 2017. Its core mandate is to provide technical skills for utilization by industry and innovative skills for job creation through self-employment by trainees. The Institution operates under the Education Act, TVET Act 2013 and offers curricular developed by Curriculum Development Assessment and Certification Council (CDACC), Kenya Institute of curriculum development (KICD), National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) among others.

Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training Institute offers CBET courses at Artisan, Craft and Diploma levels, plus a variety of short-courses in the part-time programmes. All the courses offered at Craft Certificate and Diploma levels incorporate Entrepreneurship Training, ICT and Industrial Attachment to prepare the trainees for formal and self-employment. The TTI Fees is subsidised by the Government. Students admitted through Kuccps also get fees bursary and loans from the Higher Education Loans Board (Helb) through the Higher Education Funding Model. Below is the general fees requirements for TTI courses:
- Diploma Courses Fees: Ksh.67,189 per year to Ksh.72,076 per year.
- Certificate Courses Fees: between Ksh 56,000 to Ksh 67,189 per year
- Artisan Courses Fees: between Ksh 56,000 to Ksh 67,189 per year

Applications and placement to the TVC are done through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) Portal. To apply for placement through KUCCPS, you need to access the student’s portal on the KUCCPS website and log in using your KCSE index number, year of examination, and password.
