CIC Insurance Group PLC’s MOTOR VEHICLE CLAIM PROCESS

  1. Report the accident or theft to the Police immediately but not later than 24 hours and obtain a police abstract
  2. Report the accident to CIC immediately through 0703 099 120 or 020 282 3000
  3. Do Not Accept liability in case of an accident
  4. Call AA of Kenya on 020 697 9000 or 0709 933 000 if you need to tow the vehicle from the scene of the accident (for comprehensive insurance only)
  5. Clear with the police and take the vehicle to any of our Recommended garages within Nairobi (if outside Nairobi take the vehicle to a garage of your choice) and Notify us.
  6. Complete and return a claim form obtainable in all our offices and website.
  7. Attach the Police Abstract and a copy of the driving license of the person who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident or loss.

  2. Report the loss to CIC immediately through the given emergency or toll-free numbers
  3. Complete and return a claim form obtainable in all our offices and web site giving the replacement cost of lost property
  4. Attach a statement from a watchman/guard or any witnesses

CIC Insurance Group PLC’s PERSONAL & GROUP ACCIDENT CLAIM PROCESS

  1. Report the accident to CIC immediately through the given emergency or toll-free numbers
  2. Follow the same with a written notification as one awaits to heal
  3. Complete and return a claim form obtainable in all our offices and web site attaching doctor’s prescription and medical bills receipts after a clean bill of health
  4. Attach a police abstract if it was a road traffic accident or assult
  5. Attach copy of death certificate if the accident was fatal
  6. Attach copies of pay slips for the previous three months before the accident if the cover is arranged on salary basis

  4. Police Abstract if injuries are due to a road traffic accident or assault
  5. Death certificate in case of a fatal accident

CIC Insurance Group PLC’s ORDINARY LIFE CLAIM PROCESS

  1. A client will first notify us in the event of death, accident, or diagnosis of a critical illness.
  2. In the event of an incident leading to a claim.
    Notification can be done through email lifecare@cic.co.ke or WhatsApp
  3. Once notification is received, the client will be advised on the forms that need to be filled. (You can download the forms below)
  4. Once the documents are received, they will be analyzed and communication to the client will be done
  5. Once all documents have been analyzed and found to be in order, the claim will be processed, and a discharge voucher will be provided to the claimant.
  6. Payment of the claim will then follow

The forms have all the necessary documents needed clearly indicated on them. It’s also important to note that further documentation can be requested when the need arises.

  7. Copy of ATM card of the claimant
