CS Ogamba issues ultimatum to principals withholding Form Four certificates

Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Ogamba has delivered a serious warning to Secondary School Principals who are still retaining students’ Form Four certificates due to unpaid school fees.

He indicated that his office had previously notified the Principals to release the certificates without conditions and that deadline has passed with no compliance from the Principals.

“I urge head teachers to comply with that directive as soon as the schools reopen,” he stated.
The CS made these remarks at Marani Catholic Parish, where he joined other leaders, including Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, to raise funds for the construction of the Parish and labeled the act unlawful.
The Deputy President urged for unity in the nation to allow the government to function smoothly and allocate government resources fairly across the country.

He dismissed the critics of President Ruto, asserting that his Kenya Kwanza administration has achieved numerous projects nationwide in just two years, expressing hope for further accomplishments before the 2026 national elections.

“We acknowledge that we have made some significant progress since you chose us, but there are still others that require your patience as we work to complete them,” he remarked.

The meeting was also attended by other government officials, including Internal Security CS Kipchumba Murkomen, Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa, and Kuria MP Mathias Robi.

Among the MPs present from the Gusii region were Senator Richard Onyonka, Japhet Mokaya, the Kitutu Chache North MP, Steve Mogaka, the West Mugirango MP, Patrick Osero, the North Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, South Mugirango, and Kisii County Woman Representative Donya Aburi.

Mathias Rioba emphasized the Church’s significance as it provides spiritual support and solace to everyone.
Robi stated that the church has an essential role in the development of schools to complement governmental efforts and pledged to collaborate with the church for that shared goal of development.
