CS Ogamba to release 2025 placement results today
Education Cabinet Secretary, CS, Julius Ogamba is today expected to release Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) placement results for the 2024 KCSE candidates who qualified for admission to universities and colleges.
In the 2024 KCSE exams, a total of 962,512 candidates registered, with 246,391 achieving a C+ grade or higher, qualifying them for university. There were 1,693 candidates who scored an A grade. Female candidates slightly outnumbered male candidates, with 483,523 and 481,649 registered respectively.

- Female Candidates: 483,523.

The initial application window for degrees closed on April 30, 2025, but a second revision window opened on May 31, 2025, and closed on June 6, 2025. For TVET courses, the application window for the May 2025 intake closed on February 14, 2025.
How to check your placement results
Once the results are announced you can check the KUCCPS website (www.kuccps.ac.ke) or the student’s portal (students.kuccps.net) for updates and announcements.
To check your placement results, you will need your KCSE index number, the year you sat the exam, and your password (which may be your birth certificate number or KCPE index number).
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to check your placement results once they are released:
1. Visit the KUCCPS Student’s Portal:
Go to the KUCCPS website (www.kuccps.ac.ke) and click on the “Student’s Portal” link.
2. Log in:
Enter your KCSE index number, the year you sat the exam, and your password.
3. Check your placement:
Once logged in, you will be able to see your placement details, including then institution and program you have been placed in.
4. Download admission letter:
If you have been placed, you can usually download your admission letter from the portal or the institution’s website.
KUCCPS will also provide opportunities for inter-university transfers after the initial placement, allowing students to apply for a transfer to a different institution if they are not satisfied with their initial placement.
