Excitement at KMTC as it Welcomes Thousands of New Students

On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) celebrated a major event as thousands of first-year students arrived at various campuses nationwide, officially starting their medical training journey.

Parents and guardians, filled with pride, accompanied their children, eager to witness their first steps toward becoming healthcare professionals.

CEO Dr. Kelly Oluoch led the college community in welcoming the new students for the March 2025 intake.

He offered heartfelt congratulations to all the newcomers, encouraging them to seize this opportunity with dedication and intention.

“Today, you have been given a blank slate. How you choose to spend your time here will determine the next chapter of your life,” Dr. Oluoch stated.

He confirmed that around 17,000 students are expected to enroll, filling the training positions that were announced.

Dr. Oluoch urged the students to remain focused on their studies and fully utilize the resources and opportunities provided by the college, emphasizing that KMTC fosters a supportive environment for academic and personal growth.

“KMTC is dedicated to delivering high-quality training that prepares you for the challenges of a dynamic and evolving healthcare sector,” he remarked.

“Ranked as the second-best college in Kenya in the 2022 Webometrics rankings, we strive to provide a learning experience that equips students with the skills needed to tackle emerging global health issues,” he added.

As the leading medical training institution in the country, KMTC continues to attract students from all over, drawn by its reputation for excellence and commitment to producing skilled healthcare professionals.
