The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 have been released. The rankings have 1,400 universities across 92 countries in the World.
In Africa, Egypt tops with 20 universities followed by South Africa which has 10. Closer home, it is only Nairobi university which made it to the list; among the Kenyan universities.

Tunisia: 6
Nigeria: 4
Morocco: 4
Kenya: 1
Ghana: 1
Uganda: 1
Tanzania: 1
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings are among the most comprehensive and prestigious in the higher education sector. They are based on five pillars: teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income.
The University of Oxford in the UK has retained its position at the top of the log for the fourth year in a row.
American and UK universities continue to cement themselves among the global elite, with universities from both countries dominating the top 10.
