Give KCSE, KCPE Candidates Ample Time For Revision, Parents Urged

Busia County Commissioner Dr Ahmed Omar has urged parents to provide a conducive environment for both Standard 8 and Form Four candidates as they prepare for their examinations.

Speaking during the inspection tour of CBC classrooms in a section of schools within Busia Sub County, Dr Omar said parents should provide ample time for day scholars, especially the girls when they go back home.

“When they go back home, girls are involved in many household chores,” he said, adding “they should be given ample time to carry on studies,” he said.

He further said that school principals have assured him that they have already completed the syllabus and are currently embarking on revisions.

The official assured both candidates and teachers of security during the examination period adding that the County had not experienced any security threat.

Dr Omar also took time to advise and encourage candidates at Burumba and Mayenje mixed Secondary schools as they await the forthcoming National Examination.

He further said that two CBC classrooms have been commissioned across the County with eight more ready for commissioning.

A total of 141 CBC classrooms are expected to be constructed in Busia County during the first phase scheduled to be completed before March this year.

The CC was accompanied by the County Director of Education Thaddeus Awuor, County TSC Director Charles Nyauma and Busia DCC Kipchumba Ruto.
