Grade 6 KPSEA Candidates Put on Notice as KNEC Releases Full 2025 Examination Schedule
The Kenya National Examination Council has declared strict regulations for Grade 6 candidates in advance of national assessments. The examinations are scheduled to take place from October 24 to October 29, 2025.
As per KNEC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sarah Njeru, candidates are required to arrive at examination centers fifteen minutes ahead of time. “Any student who arrives thirty minutes after the start will encounter serious consequences,” she cautioned.
KNEC has published comprehensive timetables indicating that Mathematics will begin the assessment period on October 27. English exams will follow on the same day after a thirty-minute intermission.
Candidates are subjected to stringent restrictions against bringing mobile phones into examination rooms. Students discovered with electronic devices face the threat of immediate disqualification from the entire assessment.
Science subjects will be the focus on the second day of examinations, commencing at 8:30 AM. Kiswahili (‘Swahili language’) assessments will take place at 11:10 AM on that same day.
Security protocols necessitate thorough searches of candidates prior to entering examination halls. Dr. Njeru highlighted the importance of sustaining examination integrity through rigorous monitoring practices.
Teachers have been given steadfast instructions regarding the importance of upholding assessment integrity during this period. “Kusaidia wanafunzi” (‘helping students’) during examinations will lead to severe disciplinary measures.
Creative Arts will conclude the assessment timetable on Wednesday, October 29. Social Studies exams will finish the examination schedule that same morning.
Special provisions will be made for candidates needing modified examination materials. Braille users will be granted an additional forty minutes for each exam paper.
Centre managers are responsible for ensuring “maandalizi” (‘preparations’) are completed prior to the examination dates. Local security teams will monitor all examination materials continuously.
Education officials have confirmed the placement of monitors at examination centers nationwide. Multi-agency teams will ensure the smooth operation of the assessment process.
