How to check KCSE 2025 Results {Ultimate Guide}

Checking the KCSE 2025 Results: The official and most reliable way to check your Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2025 results is through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) online portal; the KCSE results checker. Here is a quick guide on accessing your KCSE 2025 results.

Here are the best and verified methods for accessing your 2025 KCSE results:

1. KCSE Results Online Portal Checker.

This is the most detailed, faster and official way for individual KCSE 2025 candidates to access their provisional results. Here is a step by step guide:

  1. Visit the Official KNEC Results Portal:

  2. Enter Your Credentials:

    • Index Number: Key in your complete 2025 KCSE Index Number (11 digits) i.e: 40 709 124 003 whereby: 40 is the County Code, 709 is the Subcounty Number, while, 124 is the School/ Centre Code and 003 is the Candidate’s index number as used during the KCSE 2025 registration.

  3. View Results:

    • Click on the “View Results” button.

    • Your full provisional result slip, including subject grades and mean grade, will appear on the screen.

Pro Tip: The KNEC website may experience high traffic immediately after the official release. If the site is slow or unresponsive, try again during off-peak hours (immediately the results are released by the Cabinet Secretary) or simply keep refreshing your browser.

2. Getting KCSE 2025 Results Directly from Your School

Your secondary school is the official distribution centre for the results.

  • Immediately after the official release by the Cabinet Secretary of Education, the  Principal will receive a hard copy of the institution’s results printout and individual result slips. This can be collected from the school.

  • You can visit your school to collect your official result slip.

  • The school’s official results printout and the hard copy result slips are dispatched by KNEC to the respective schools through the Heads of Institutions, usually within one month after the release of the examination. But, the manual spreadsheet sent to schools contains results for all the KCSE candidates.
