How to replace a lost KCSE & KCPE Certificate

LOST KCPE/ KCSE CERTIFICATES?

Did you accidentally lose your Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, or Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, KCPE, certificate. Are you wondering how you can replace the lost certificate? Worry no more. I have written this article to enable you easily replace the lost certificate.

The good news is that the Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec, can now replace your certificate.Follow the easy steps below:

Apply online for KNEC confirmation of results.

✔️Open this link, click ‘Register’ to create an account then apply. Register as a candidate.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

Scan any of the following documents:

A photocopy/result slip of the lost certificate (if available)

or

The Class nominal results sheet for the year you did the exam.

PROCEDURE:

Step 1: Create your KNEC online account, registering as a candidate.

Step 2: A password is sent to your email. Use it to log in.

Step 3: Click on CONFIRMATION and fill in the required details.

Step 4: Attach the available document and submit.

APPLICATION FEE:

You’ll be required to pay an application fee of Kshs. 2,320 (Payment details are provided on the portal, email and SMS).

You can check the progress of your application online by logging in to the portal then click ‘Status’.

TO APPLY FOR TSC NUMBER WITHOUT A KNEC CERTIFICATE:

Use these details on the KNEC portal:

ADDRESSEE: The Secretary.
COMPANY NAME: Teachers Service Commission.
ADDRESS: Private Bag Nairobi.

After making the KNEC confirmation payment:

Take a screenshot of the STATUS page (At Stage 3 of 3 – Resolved and Sent)

Upload the screenshot in place of the lost certificate.
