How To Update Your National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) beneficiaries’ records

Civil servants have been urged to update their National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) beneficiaries’ records for seamless service delivery.

Laikipia Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Patrick Muli said the NHIF cover would relieve health cost burden in case of an illness.

Muli was speaking in Nanyuki town the during NHIF sensitization exercise for public servants on Group Life Last Expenses, Work Injury benefits and Personal Accident Insurance cover.

“It is a noble move for NHIF to reach out to the civil servants at the grassroot level, to enlighten them on what is expected and how they can benefit,” said Muli.

The DCC further called on spouses to update their NHIF beneficiary’s records with correct information to avert tussles in time of accidents or death incidents.

Muli noted, over the years, the government has kept on enhancing the health insurance services to ensure civil servants and the general public access quality medical care.

NHIF technical officer, Joseph Arasa, said only genuine accident, illness and death cases would be compensated, a move aimed at curbing fraudsters.
