Ibrahim Gedi Mumin has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer to the Teachers Service Commission, TSC. Mumin replaces the now retired Dr. Nancy Njeri Macharia until a substantive Boss is appointed.

Mr Ibrahim Gedi Mumin, has been the Director Administration Department.

In his first assignment, Ibrahim Gedi Mumin and other Commissioners on Thursday met the Parliamentary Budget Committee to discuss the TSC budget Proposals for the Financial Year 2025/2026.

Principal Secretaries Dr. Belio Kipsang (Basic Education), Ms. Beatrice Inyangala (TVET), Dr. Esther Mworia (Higher Education), and Mr. Ibrahim Gedi Mumin (TSC Acting CEO) presented submissions from their respective departments.

They highlighted the challenges of inadequate funding, which has impacted the implementation of key programs.

Committee members emphasized the need for an increased education budget, recognizing its critical role in national development. The committee is committed to addressing the raised concerns and advocating for a more favorable budget allocation to the education sector.
