Junet Calls for Immediate Reforms at TSC

Junet has expressed criticism towards the leadership of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), pointing out issues related to halted teacher promotions and the absence of new teacher hiring.

During a fundraising event for the construction of a Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) office in Migori, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, who is also the National Assembly Minority Leader, highlighted the growing dissatisfaction among Kenyan teachers. He noted that the current circumstances have left many educators feeling demoralized and overlooked.

Junet announced his plan to bring this issue before the National Assembly when it reconvenes on Tuesday, with the goal of sparking discussion and action regarding reforms in the commission.

The event was attended by various leaders, including Migori Governor Dr. Ochilo Ayacko, Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, and Suna West MP Peter Masara.
