Kabianga High school emerged as the most preferred for 2024 Form One Placement. Kabianga High school which is a national boys’ secondary school located in Kericho county, attracted a total of 186,357 applications for admission;against the available population of 768 slots.
Kabianga High School had posted a mean score of 9.2 in the 2022 KCSE results to prove its worth as an academic giant.
Nanyuki High school received 148,827 applications against the available 576 form one slots. Nanyuki High School is located in Central Laikipia which is in or near Nanyuki town in Laikipia East constituency, Laikipia county in Kenya. It is a boys’ only national school.
Pangani Girls High School became the third most preferred school by the KCPE 2023 candidates. The school had 144,542 admirers. Pangani Girls is a Prestigious National Secondary school that is located near the Capital City of Kenya; Nairobi Town, in Starehe Constituency in Nairobi County.
Kapsabet Boys received 143,723 applications but placed only 432.
According to the Ministry of Education, some 135,033 girls applied to Alliance Girls High School and 114,635 to Butere Girls High School. However, only 384 and 480 girls respectively were placed in the two national schools.
Mang’u High School and Alliance High School received the fewest applications of the national schools. 112,938 students applied for places at Mang’u, but only 480 were selected. At Alliance High School, 110,839 students applied but only 384 were placed.
