Grade 10 Parents Meet for orientation at Kapsabet Boys as School Gears Up for Centenary Celebrations

Parents of Grade 10 students at Kapsabet Boys High School turned up in large numbers for an open day class orientation held at the institution, as the school intensifies preparations to mark its 100-year anniversary.

The meeting brought together parents, subject teachers and members of the school administration to review academic performance, discipline and the overall welfare of learners.

Teachers issued detailed progress reports and engaged parents in discussions on how to further improve results ahead of upcoming examinations.

The conference comes at a historic moment for the institution, which is gearing up to celebrate a century of academic excellence and leadership development, Kapsabet @100.

Founded in 1925, the school has grown into one of the country’s leading national schools, producing distinguished alumni across various sectors.

Speaking during the event, the principal, Kipchumba Maiyo, OGW, MBS, underscored the importance of strong collaboration between parents and the school, especially as the institution approaches its centenary milestone.

“As we prepare to celebrate 100 years of Kapsabet Boys, we are reminded that our strength has always been the partnership between the school and parents. Education is a shared responsibility, and together we must continue building on the strong foundation laid over the past century,” said Mr. Maiyo.

He praised parents for the impressive turnout, noting that their involvement plays a key role in sustaining the school’s tradition of excellence.

“Our centenary celebrations are not just about looking back at our rich history, but also about setting even higher standards for the future. Continuous engagement with parents will ensure our boys remain disciplined, focused and academically competitive,” he added.

Parents were given one-on-one sessions with subject teachers to discuss individual student progress and strategies for improvement. Many expressed appreciation for the structured feedback and the opportunity to actively participate in their children’s academic journey.

School officials indicated that more activities are planned in the coming months as part of the centenary celebrations, even as the institution remains committed to maintaining its strong academic performance and holistic development of learners.
