– 1,406,557 candidates sat for the 2023 KCPE examination.

– 9,354 candidates didn’t sit for the examination and will have a chance to do a special examination in January 2024.

– No candidate will repeat Class 8 as this year’s results will be the last of KCPE under the 8-4-4 system.

– 2023 KCPE marks the end of the 8-4-4 system. KPSEA system will be fully operational.
