KCSE Top, best performing schools in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024

Here is the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) list of the top performing, best, schools at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). The lists show the top ranking schools nationally for the past 5 years; KCSE 2020, KCSE 2021, KCSE 2022, KCSE 2023 and KCSE 2025.

In 2020, Kapsabet Boys garnered the top position nationally after attaining an impressive mean score of 10.51 which is an A- (minus).

In the second position was Kenya High School (10.4) while Mang’u High School finished third with a mean score of 10.4.

Kenya High from Nairobi County emerged the top school in the KCSE 2021 Exams with a Mean score of 10.467. Kapsabet Boys (Nandi County) scooped the second spot after garnering a mean of 10.11. The third position was taken by Nyandarua’s Kisima Mixed with a mean of 10.05.

In 2022, the top three schools were: Nyambaria High School (10.89), Cardinal Otunga High School  (10.76) and Asumbi Girls High School (10.371).

Kenya High school sat at the summit of the 2023 KCSE results with a mean of 10.467. Kapsabet Boys and Kisima Mixed took position 2 and 3 with mean scores of 10.11 and 10.05; respectfully.

Merishaw School in Kajiado County led nationally at the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations after posting the highest mean score of 10.569. Next after Merishaw was Alliance High School from Kiambu County that posted a mean score of 10.31. At third place, after Alliance, was Kapsabet Boys in Nandi County with a mean score of 10.145.
