Kenya Utalii College (KUC) is a leading African hospitality and tourism training institution. Established 47 years ago the College has trained over 60,000 graduates from around the world who continue to serve in the local and international hospitality and tourism industry. The College opened its doors in 1975 and was established under the Hotels and Restaurants Act, (Cap. 494, Laws of Kenya) which has since been replaced by the Tourism Act, 2011.

Kenya Utalii College (KUC) is a leading African hospitality and tourism training institution.
Diploma in Hospitality Management
The Hotel management Course is a three year diploma course designed to equip students with knowledge and skills of hospitality facilities management. The programme exposes students to operational approaches of supervising and managing hospitality establishments.
Diploma in Front Office Operations & Administration
This is one and half years course programme that prepares students to effectively work in a hotel as Receptionist, Guest Relations Officers, Reservation officers, cashiers and Front Office Accounts Auditors.
Diploma in Culinary Arts
The Program trains and develops food production personnel for the Hospitality industry. The course offers intensive practical and theoretical skills and competencies alongside a hands-on approach to the daily operations of a professional Kitchen.
Diploma in Food & Beverage Management
This is a one and half year program covering all aspects of Food and beverage operations and Food and beverage supervisory skills. In addition to the theoretical learning, the course entails intensive practical training at the demonstration restaurant, application Utalii hotel, and three months in training in various Kenyan Hotels.
Diploma in House Keeping & Laundry Operation
The Housekeeping and Laundry Course is an intensive program designed to equip the students with the key fundamentals of managing Housekeeping and Laundry operations in the hospitality industry.
Certificate in Front Office Operations

THE KENYA UTALII COLLEGE LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE
The Kenya Utalii College Learning Resource Centre was established together with college in the mid-1970s.Housed in a small room on the college side ,the Library moved to the new building and was commissioned in 1994 as an educational Learning resource center to cater for KUC students and staff as well as the tourism industry
The function of the Utalii Learning Resource Centre is to preserve information, provide access to information, help it’s users find and use information, and provide study spaces and access to hardware and software for learning .The LRC houses the following section to support the Curriculum and all library users;

- Circulation and Customer Care section
- Periodicals and serials Section
- Information Retrieval and Archives Section
- Automated Digital and Audio Visual Section
- Printing Services Section
The Learning Resource Centre can sit up to 300 persons at any one time. It has a capacity of 135,000 Volumes and caters for both print and Non-print information resources.The opening hours are ;
