KMTC announces 2026 Scholarships in 9 specialized program areas

Exciting KMTC scholarship news in 2026.

The Kenya Medical Training College, KMTC, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the East Africa Centre of Excellence in Urology and Nephrology, is officially inviting applications for the March 2026 intake. This opportunity is open to eligible candidates for the Higher Diplomas in Urology Nursing and Nephrology Nursing.

Fully funded scholarships are available for successful applicants from the Ministry of Health and County Governments.

To take advantage of this opportunity, submit your application through the KMTC admissions portal https://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke/login by the March 13, 2026, deadline.

THE EAST AFRICA CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN UROLOGY AND NEPHROLOGY (EACE UN) SCHOLARSHIP

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the East Africa Centre of Excellence in Urology and Nephrology (EACE-UN), is pleased to announce exciting scholarship opportunities for individuals seeking to advance their careers in Nephrology related disciplines. The EACE-UN, is a project funded through a loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB} and the government of Kenya. These scholarships are available in nine (9) specialized program areas offered in KMTC campuses as shown below:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates who meet the following criteria will be prioritized:

1. County Government employees within the Republic of Kenya
2. Employees of the Kenya Medical Training College
3. Work experience of at least three years at a county health facility Registered with the respective regulatory body for the basic training
4. Secured approval and release by the county

SELECTION PROCESS

Each candidate must go through the following process to be awarded a scholarship:

1. Recommendation by the employer during the application Shortlisting by KMTC
2. Selection by the KMTC-EACE program scholarships selection committee
3. Admission by the KMTC
4. Release and bonding by the employer as per the Public Service Commission guidelines
5. Enrollment by KMTC

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Visit the KMTC admissions page https://admissions.kmtc.ac.ke If you have registered an account, log in using your email and password
2. If you do not have an account, click on the Register button on the top right-hand corner. This will take you to creating an account form
3. Enter your name, email address and password (put a password that you can easily remember) Click on Create Account Button
4. On the right hand panel, click on Application and under Application click on EACE-UN SCHOLARSHIP
5. Follow the step-by-step process until the end of the online application form.

After filling the required information and uploading the required documents, download the form, have it signed appropriately, scan the form into pdf format log in back to your portal and upload the duly filled form

SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE

Successful applicants will receive scholarships that cater for the following during the study period: Tuition Fee and Stipend. To qualify, applicants are expected to attach a hand written essay of not more than two hundred (200) words explaining why they feel that they deserve the scholarship and the contribution they will make to the community upon graduation.

To be awarded a scholarship, you must get an unconditional offer for one of your course choices.

Applications should be sent to reach the Chief Executive Officer, KMTC on or before 15th March 2026.
