Knec announces dates for verification of KCSE 2023 candidates’ photos and subjects

The Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec, has announced the dates for verification of the accuracy of photographs and subject entries for KCSE 2023 exam candidates.

REF:   VERIFICATION OF THE ACCURACY OF PHOTOGRAPHS AND SUBJECT ENTRIES FOR 2023 KCSE EXAMINATION CANDIDATES.

The Kenya National Examinations Council(KNEC) wishes to bring to your attention the following with regard to verification of photographs uploaded for the 2023 KCSE examination during registration:

  • KNEC has made a provision for all KCSE examination Centre Managers who registered candidates for the 2023 KCSE examination to access the photograph registers from the registration portal;
  • Centre Managers should therefore download the photograph registers (albums) from the registration portal and print in colour for the candidates to verify that the photographs are correctly assigned to their names and sign against their photographs and subject entries;
  • All cases of subject amendments, photo mismatch and missing photos should be officially communicated to the CEO, KNEC accompanied by the correct photographs, saved in a Computer Disk(CD)correctly labeled,by 15thAugust ,2023;
  • All cases of blurred and/or horizontally misaligned photographs should be corrected, saved in a Computer Disk (CD) and submitted to KNEC with an accompanying letter by the date stated in 3.0;
  • Photo amendments arising from 3.0 and 4.0 above shall attract a penalty of KSh. 500 per candidate; which must be remitted to KNEC for such amendments to be effected;
  • The signed photograph registers (albums) without errors should be securely kept to be handed over to the Supervisor for use during the administration of the 2023 KCSE examination.
