Selected applicants will receive additional information regarding access to training materials and the schedule for on-site sessions.

To qualify, applicants must be active tutors or lecturers in teacher training colleges, universities, or TVET institutions. They must also be registered or employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and possess a Degree in Education or a higher qualification.

Furthermore, candidates should have a minimum of three years of teaching experience, not be facing any disciplinary actions from TSC, and be under 50 years of age.

Additionally, they must be endorsed for the position by their respective institutions.

However, tutors who have already undergone training as assessors for DSTE, DPTE, or DECTE and are listed in the KNEC examiners’ database do not need to reapply.

Interested individuals should apply through the KNEC examiners’ portal at https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke.

Those with existing Cp2 accounts can log in, while new users will need to create an account to begin their application.

The application process involves completing a personal profile and selecting the preferred training program.

KNEC has noted that training slots are limited, and only applicants who meet all criteria and submit the required documents will be considered.

The training will encompass a variety of subjects under the DPTE, DECTE, and DSTE assessments, including English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, Physical Education, Art and Craft, and Music.

Other subjects include Indigenous Languages, Agriculture, and various technical disciplines such as Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, and Media Technology.

Upon successful completion of the training, tutors may be appointed as examiners based on KNEC’s staffing needs for different assessment papers.
