Knec Releases New Guidelines for KPSEA and KJSEA 2025 Examinations

The Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) has announced updates regarding the upcoming KPSEA and KJSEA exams.

In a statement issued on June 24, 2025, Knec indicated that candidates will now need to mark their answers by shading circles, moving away from the previous method of drawing lines to indicate their responses.

“The Council uploaded sample papers for KJSEA on the KNEC portal in January 2025, allowing schools to download them and help students become familiar with the new formats,” the statement noted.

KNEC also mentioned that schools can now access sample papers, Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets, and guidelines for both the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) through the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal.
