KNEC has instructed all candidates and schools to strictly follow the timetable and prepare adequately. Teachers are responsible for ensuring that students understand the examination rules to prevent irregularities and penalties for misconduct.
Furthermore, Centre Managers must ensure that supervisors and invigilators at their centers have not worked at the same institution for three consecutive years.
“Supervisors must confirm that candidates have signed their answer scripts and the script control form before collecting them for packing. They should also count the scripts to ensure they correspond with the number of candidates present,” the guidelines state.
KNEC has warned that any individual found guilty of examination irregularities will face severe penalties as specified in the KNEC Act No. 29 of 2012 (Sections 27 to 40). The Council has urged schools, teachers, and students to adhere to these regulations to uphold fairness and integrity in the national examinations.
