KNEC reviews and validates KCPE 2022 results for schools with appeals

The Kenya National Examinations Council, Knec, has reviewed and validated 2022 KCPE results for schools that had launched appeals.

One of the schools that launched an appeal was Kitengela International School and whose appeal has been turned down.

Reference is made to our letter referenced KNEC/R&QA/DD/DR/22/048, dated 23rd December 2022 on the above mentioned subject.

Following your request, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has reviewed the KCPE examination results for candidates in your schools by validating the examination processes and centres’ candidates answer scripts including analysis of the field administration reports presented by the Supervisors and the Head teacher’s confidential reports for the two centres.

Verification of the 2022 KCPE examination results for the candidates in the two schools by validating afresh the candidates’ examination results in all the papers confirms that the 2022 KCPE examination results for the candidates are correct as released on 21st December

KNEC wishes to affirm that processing of the 2022 KCPE examination was carried out in a professional manner in accordance with KNEC rules and regulations and the review of the candidates’ examination results have confirmed that the results are accurate.

In view of the foregoing and in line with the provisions of the KNEC (Marking of Examinations, Release of Results and Certification) Rules of 2015, Rule 27 (5) & (6), the position of the Council is that your request has been duly considered and it has been determined that the 2022 KCPE examination results for Centres 31567223 and 12330216 are correct as released on 21st December 2022.

You are directed to bring this to the attention of the affected.
