KSSSA Latest News 2024- St. Joseph’s Boys Triumph as New Rift Valley Region School Games Football Champions
St. Joseph’s Boys- Kitale, affectionately known as the “Brown Saints,” have defied all odds to emerge as the new Rift Valley region school games football champions. Their journey began in Saboti, where they won all their matches, silencing the naysayers who doubted their capabilities.
At the county level, considered underdogs, they surprised everyone by eliminating the 2023 national champions, St. Anthony’s Boys. This victory solidified their reputation and made them favorites going into the regional finals.
True to the expectations of their fanbase, St. Joseph’s Boys, also known as Jobo, made Trans-Nzoia proud by retaining the trophy previously held by St. Anthony’s. The final match, held at Silibwet Stadium in Bomet County and witnessed by thousands of fans, was a testament to their hard work and determination.
In his victory speech, St. Joseph’s chief principal congratulated the boys, the technical bench, and the entire Jobo fraternity for their spirited fight to retain the glory of Trans-Nzoia. The final match was broadcast live on TDN LIVE, capturing the triumphant moment for all to see.

At the 2024 Kenya Secondary Schools’ Sports Association, KSSSA, national term 2 games, the Rift Valley new champs have been pooled alongside Nairobi’s soccer power house Highway Secondary, Coast’s newbies Dr. Aggrey and a yet to be determined North Eastern representative.
