KUCCPS Announces Openings for 26 KMTC Programs

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has revealed that there are available slots in at least 26 programs at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

These programs include a variety of Diploma and Certificate qualifications for interested individuals.

Applications for these vacancies will be accepted until April 30, 2025.

“Great news for those seeking KMTC courses! Following the recent student placements, there are still limited vacancies in 26 programs,” KUCCPS shared on X.

The organization noted that these slots remain unfilled even after the recent placement process was completed.

The minimum requirements and the available KMTC campuses can be found on the KUCCPS Student Portal (http://students.kuccps.net).

The open courses include a Certificate in Community Health Assistant, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Emergency Technician, Medical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, and Public Health.

Diploma courses offered include Community Health, Emergency Medical Technology, Health Counseling, Health Insurance Management, Health Promotion, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Mortuary Science, and Nutrition and Dietetics.

Additional Diploma programs include Occupational Therapy, Orthopaedic Technology, Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging, and Speech and Language Therapy.

In January, KUCCPS announced that former Form Four students who completed their KCSE exams between 2000 and 2024 are eligible to apply for placement in KMTC and TVET institutions.

Students were encouraged to apply for TVET and KMTC campuses near their homes to reduce commuting costs.

“Students applying for degree programs and TTC should be patient, as application dates for those will be announced later,” KUCCPS stated.

Applications to KUCCPS can only be submitted through their portal.
