Kuccps establishes 63 Application Support Centres countrywide: Official list
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has established 63 support centers nationwide to aid students applying for degree programs, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and Teacher Training Colleges (TTC).
This initiative coincides with the opening of the application period for the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) cohort and other eligible Form Four graduates.
Mercy Wahome, the Chief Executive Officer of KUCCPS, announced that these centers will be available from April 2 to April 13, 2025, offering assistance to applicants seeking placement in various higher education institutions.
“We encourage all eligible students to visit their nearest support center for guidance on the application process. Our staff will be available to help with course selection and placement inquiries,” Wahome stated.
The support centers are located throughout the 47 counties and are situated in selected universities, technical and vocational colleges, and national polytechnics. Additionally, students can receive application support at all 58 Huduma Centres across the country, as well as at the KUCCPS headquarters at ACK Garden House on Ngong 1st Avenue in Nairobi.
Wahome also urged students and parents to utilize the official KUCCPS communication channels for any inquiries.
“For more information, applicants can contact us via email at [email protected] or call our customer care lines at 0205137400 or 0723954927,” she added.
The 2025 placement process aims to streamline admissions, ensuring that students are matched with courses that fit their career goals and qualifications.
KUCCPS announced that candidates who achieved a mean grade of C+ or higher in the 2024 KCSE examinations are now eligible to apply for placement in various universities and colleges.
The KUCCPS portal is officially open for applications to degree programs, TVET, and Teacher Training Colleges (TTC). The Placement Service confirmed that a total of 246,391 students who meet university entry requirements can now submit their applications.
“The KUCCPS portal is now open for Degree, TVET, and TTC applications,” the placement service stated last week.
Eligible students can apply for programs at 40 public universities, 29 private universities, and the Open University of Kenya (OPUK). The placement also includes training opportunities in TVET institutions, the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), and TTCs.
The application process can be accessed through the KUCCPS student portal at student.kuccps.net. Students have until April 21, 2025, to complete their applications.
