KUCCPS has begun accepting applications for candidates of the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Students who completed the 2024 KCSE can now apply for degree programs as the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has launched its application portal.

In a statement released on Friday, KUCCPS indicated that candidates with a mean grade of C+ or higher are qualified to apply for placement in various universities.

“The KUCCPS portal is now open for applications to Degree programs, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), and Teacher Training Colleges (TTC),” KUCCPS stated.

A total of 246,391 students who meet the university entry criteria can now submit their applications via the portal, with a deadline set for April 21, 2025.

The placement also encompasses training institutions, including TVET institutions, the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), and TTCs.

Students interested in applying are encouraged to do so through the KUCCPS student portal at student.kuccps.net.

Earlier, KUCCPS reopened its portal for KMTC applicants on February 26, following a previous application period that ran from January 24 to February 14, 2025.

The agency noted that this reopening allows students to apply for 21 KMTC courses that still have available slots for the March 2025 intake.

“All applicants who were not successful in the last application round, as well as those wishing to join KMTC in March 2025, are invited to apply,” the statement mentioned.

Established in 2014, KUCCPS is responsible for overseeing student placements in universities, teacher training colleges, national polytechnics, and TVET institutions. The agency also develops career guidance programs, manages student placement data, and advises the government on higher education placement issues.

To access the KUCCPS portal, students need to log in using their KCSE index number, examination year, and a password, which can be either their KCPE index number or birth certificate number.

The KUCCPS student application page (students.kuccps.net) can be accessed through the KUCCPS website (www.kuccps.net) or via the KUCCPS Students App.
