The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) 2026 portal is now open for applications for the Diploma in Law (paralegal studies).
Applicants seeking to enter the legal profession through paralegal training can now submit their applications.
“Application for Diploma in Law (Paralegal Studies) is now open via the KUCCPS portal,” the KUCCPS statement read in part.
According to the placement service, the applications for the May 2026 intake are open from February 23 to March 9, 2026.
Applicants are to log in and complete their application through the official KUCCPS portal.

To ensure that candidates are a good fit for pursuing Law studies, one can easily verify online whether they meet the entry requirements.
Minimum Entry Requirements for Paralegal Studies Application
Candidates applying for the Diploma in Law in KSL should have at least a C plain in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
A minimum grade of C+(plus) in English and Kiswahili language examinations.
At least one principal pass at the Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (K.A.C.E) examination.
A pass in a certificate of law course offered at an accredited legal education provider and a certificate of experiential learning issued by the Council of Legal Education.
Mode of Study
Students can choose the mode of study that best fits them and aligns with their learning style.
Those who choose to study during the day are expected to attend the classes in person.
Physical classes will be held from 9 am to 12 pm in the morning and from 2 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Thursday.
However, those who opt to study in the evening will be taught virtually, without physically attending the Institution.
Virtual classes in the evenings, 5 p.m. -8 p.m., from Monday to Thursday.
Training Venue and Classes
The programme is offered at the Kenya School of Law, Karen and Town Campus, in Development House, 5th and 6th Floor, New Wing, Moi Avenue, Nairobi.

Duration and Pattern of the Programme
The programme is set to last for a minimum period of two academic years, comprising three terms each year.
Students are required to register for four course units per term.
To qualify for the award of the Diploma in Law (Para-legal Studies), candidates must complete the course of study in not less than two academic years.

Mode of Application at KSL
Applications for this academic year will start on May 11, and applicants are to submit their applications through the school’s online application portal.
During the application process, the applicants will be required to upload
- Copy of KCSE/KCE certificate.
- Copies of relevant professional certificates and transcripts (where applicable).
- Copy of national identity card.
- A passport-size colored photograph.
- Copy of bank payment slip showing payment of the application fee, showing the full name of the applicant.
- Applicants are also required to make a non-refundable application processing fee of KShs. 2000.
Alternatively, the applicant can submit their application through the KUCCPS portal using the institution’s program code 5485J23.
Application deadline
All applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026, to avoid disqualification.
“Applications not accompanied by the required documents, or sent after the closing date, shall not be accepted,” warns Dr. Henry K. Mutai; who is the Director at the KSL.
