The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is a body that exclusively undertakes the selection of students for admission to higher learning institutions for Government sponsorship.
In a bid to improve efficiency of its service delivery, the placement body has developed an app.
Just like KUCCPS student portal, the app allows students to login in and access all services.
How to download and Log in to KUCCPS App
To download KUCCPS student portal app go to google play store or click here.
Once the app has been downloaded, you can log in by using your KCSE index number, enter the year you did your KCSE and use either Your Birth Certificate Number or KCPE Index Number (as used in KCSE Exam Registration) as your Initial Password.

A student can access all services offered by KUCCPS through the app. These are the services:

Checking programmes (artisan certificate, craft certificate, diploma and degree) sponsored by government.

To check which institution are click on Institutions. Here you you will find all institutions that offering programmes to qualified students.
Checking Programmes offered
To check courses offered click on programmes.
A student is at liberty to choose any course provided minimum subjects requirement have been met. Courses can be chosen at different levels; artisan certificate, craft certificate, diploma and degree.
Application for Courses
Application of courses is done at three levels; school or institution application, first and second application.
Timelines for application are determined by the placement.
Kuccps Placement Results
This is where a student can be able to track placement status after application has been completed.
It is important to note that a student can only confirm institution placed after KUCCPS has finalized the process of placement(after second revision of courses)
Successfully placed students can also be notified through SMS or student portal.
Inter University Transfer
This enables students to transfer from one university to another. The exercise is done after placement exercise has been completed.
