Maranda High School to Host Grade 10 Parents in Key Orientation Meeting

The Principal of Maranda High School, Dr. Edwin Namachanja, is set to host Grade 10 parents on February 24th 2026 in a major orientation forum expected to draw nearly 1,000 parents.

The meeting will focus on reinforcing school rules and outlining the critical role parents play in supporting students’ academic and personal development.

According to the school administration, the session is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the institution and families as learners transition into senior secondary education.

Dr. Namachanja is expected to address key areas including discipline, academic expectations, student welfare, and communication channels between parents and the school.

The forum will also provide parents with an opportunity to seek clarification on school policies and contribute ideas aimed at enhancing student success.

With close to 1,000 parents anticipated to attend, the meeting underscores the strong interest among families in staying actively involved in their children’s education.

Some parents have described the engagement as timely and necessary, noting that effective parental involvement remains a cornerstone of Maranda High School’s tradition of excellence.

”I will be in Maranda on 24th February to listen to the school’s plan for my son and his colleagues. This is very important and historic event that will equip parents to understand Maranda Senior School better,” Mr. Peter Ouko told ACTT Digital Representatives via phone

The administration has encouraged all Grade 10 parents to attend and participate actively in the discussions, terming the meeting a vital step in fostering shared responsibility for learners’ growth and achievement.
