Nairobi County list of elected MCAs, Women Rep, MPs, Governor and Senator 2022

Atleast eight Members of Parliament in Nairobi County have retained their seats beating their opponents with big margins in the IEBC 2022 general elections.

Members of Parliament (MPs) who retained their seats include George Aladwa of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) who was vying for the Makadara Constituency seat. He garnered 36,700 votes followed by Antony Waithaka of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) with 28,600 votes.

Others are Yusuf Hassan of Jubilee Party who got 34,264 votes while his closest opponent Robo Hassan of UDA had 22,850 votes; incumbent Benjamin Gathiru of UDA won the Embakasi Central seat with 48,277 votes followed by Samuel Ng’ang’a of Jubilee with 29,375 votes. Paul Ongili Babu Owino of ODM retained his seat after garnering 65,540 votes followed by Francis Mureithi of UDA with 34,450 votes.

John Kiarie of UDA also retained his Dagoretti South seat with 24,062 votes, followed by Dennis Waweru of Jubilee with 20,623 votes.

Former Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi who vied on an ODM ticket is the new MP for Dagoretti North constituency after securing 52,515 votes beating her closest competitor Elijah Oenga who got 13,620 votes.

Ronald Karauri who was vying on an Independent ticket won the Kasarani constituency seat with 32,315 votes followed by John Njoroge with 30,575 while Mercy Gakuya who was defending her seat on a Jubilee ticket became third with 24,967 votes.

Peter Ochieng Orero alias Mwalimu of ODM won the Kibra constituency seat with 33,008 votes followed by Donald Mariga of UDA with 20,049 votes while the incumbent Imran Okoth who was vying on an independent ticket had 18,908 votes.

Media personality Felix Odiwour alias Jalang’o has been declared the winner of the Lang’ata parliamentary seat after garnering 38,948 votes, beating the incumbent Nixon Korir who polled 36,836 votes.

Others MPs who managed to retain their seats are Tim Wanyonyi (Westlands) and Tom Kajwang (Ruaraka) and Antony Olouch all of ODM party and Julius Musili Mawathe of Wiper Party (Embakasi South).

Members of County Assembly who won seats in the City with the Jubilee ticket are Cyrus Mugo (Ngando Ward), Silas Matara (Dandora II), Kados Paul Kigwathi (Mihango), Robert Mbatia (Kariobangi South), Antony Kimemia (Harambee).

Martin Mbugua of Chama Cha Mapinduzi Party won the Mutuini Ward seat, while those who won on a Wiper Party included John Musila (Lindi), Scolastica Mande (Kwa Reuben), Musango Maithya (Pipeline) and Moses Mutinda (Kware).

Those who won MCA seats are Chege Mwaura (Ngara), Peter Wahinya (Pangani), Gerald Mukuru (Ziwani), Simon Maina Mugo (Landi Mawe), Waithera Chege (Nairobi South), Mark Thiga Ruiyi (Hospital), Susan Kavaya (Mlango Kubwa), Joseph Ndung’u (Kiamaiko), Chris Mtumishi (Komarock), John Kwenya (Nairobi Central), Hashim Kamau (California), Mark Mugambi (Umoja I), Martin Warobi (Mowlem), Patrick Macharia, (Maringo Hamza), Aaron Wangare (Viwandani), Paul Ndung’u Petit (Pumwani), Hashim Kamau (California) and James Karanja (Matopeni S. Valley) among others.

MCAs who clinched seats with a UDA ticket are Michael Njoroge (Karura), Fredrick Njoroge (Kawangware), Antony Kiragu (Waithaka), Peter Mwangi (Uthiru/Ruthimitu), Eric Kiogora (Riruta), DNG Ngibuini (Woodley), Deonysias Waithira (Githurai and Anthony Gatune (Kahawa West).
