Nanyuki High School records good performance at KCSE 2024 Exams

Nanyuki boys’ High in Laikipia County posted stellar performance in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results released Thursday by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos.

Nanyuki High school Chief Principal Solomon Kipkoech speaking to the media at the school on Thursday said that two candidates had scored straight A and 53 had A-(minus).

The school had 316 students who had garnered C+ (plus) above, a direct entry to the university.

“We are happy all the candidates were able to receive their results and after analyzing the provisional results, we had two As,53 A-(Minus), 79 B+, 91 B plain, 45 B-(Minus) and 46 C+(plus),) said Kipkoech.

In 2023 KCSE, the school had 286 candidates who scored grades qualifying for university entry.

Among the top candidates in the school were Onyoro Harun, Kerama Ignatius Makori, Kiiru Ian Mwangi, Nyansiri Thomas Kohera and Mwangi John Kirathe.

The Chief Principal said that the school had gained a mean score of 8.9 compared to last year KCSE where they had 8.8.

Nanyuki high, which is the most preferred National school among the students wishing to join it in the country had an entry of 341 candidates who sat for the 2024 KCSE.

The principal attributed the success to sheer hard work, student’s commitment and good partnership with the parents.

He further pointed out that teachers were also able to complete the syllabus on time.

Meanwhile, a total of 10,851 candidates sat for the 2024 KCSE in Laikipia last year.
