Ndindi Nyoro Celebrates Over 1,000 Graduates at Kiharu

Ndindi Nyoro, the Member of Parliament for Kiharu, has commended more than 1,000 young individuals from his constituency who have successfully finished various short courses at the Kiharu Fanikisha Program, an initiative entirely funded by the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).

The graduation event, hosted at a local venue in Kiharu, united the youth, their families, and local leaders to honor the achievements of the graduates.

During his remarks at the occasion, Nyoro highlighted the significance of skill development and empowerment for young people within his constituency.

“This program exemplifies our dedication to providing the youth with practical competencies that will allow them to obtain employment, establish businesses, and contribute to the development of Kiharu and the country as a whole,” Nyoro remarked.

The Kiharu Fanikisha Program, which receives funding from the NG-CDF, grants youth the chance to acquire various skills such as carpentry, tailoring, plumbing, electrical installation, and other vocational trades.

Nyoro observed that this initiative was intended to offer an alternative to traditional education by concentrating on practical skills that are greatly valued in the employment sector.

Among the graduates was Jane Wambui, a 23-year-old who completed a tailoring course. “This program has equipped me with the skills to launch my own tailoring business. I’m incredibly grateful to the MP and NG-CDF for this opportunity,” Wambui expressed.

The event was filled with joy, as graduates received certificates acknowledging their hard work.

Nyoro committed to continue supporting similar initiatives aimed at tackling youth unemployment, asserting that empowering young individuals was essential for fostering a more prosperous future for Kiharu.

The achievements of the Kiharu Fanikisha Program have ignited discussions throughout the region, with other constituencies considering the adoption of similar models for youth empowerment.
