New List of All National Schools Per Region {For all 8 Regions}

The Rift Valley Region has the highest number of National Schools in the country, under the latest classification. The Region has 67 schools with 30 being boys’ only national schools, 31 for girls and 6 mixed schools.

Nyanza Region follows in second posotion with 40 national schools in total; 17 boys’ only national schools, 15 for girls and there are 8 mixed national schools in the region.’

In third position is the Central region that now has 39 National Schools whose distribution is 14 (boys), 19 (girls) and 6 mixed schools.

There are now 267 National Schools in the Country under classification C1. Of these, there are more girls’ schools at 118 with boys’ national schools standing at 114. There are only 35 Mixed National Schools in Kenya.
