Just Dial *155# from Safaricom, Airtel , Equitel or Telkom Lines. You do not need to have credit to dial NHIF USSD.
NHIF USSD works with both Smartphones and Feature Phones

USSD

The NHIF USSD allows you to access various NHIF selfcare services.

For new members , you can dial *155# on any phone toll free and register as an NHIF member.

After registration you will get NHIF memebr number by SMS. You will now be able to access NHIF selfcare services which include Payment of Monthly contributions, Payment of Penalties and Arrears.

You will also be able to select a hospital(s) of your choice for the main member and the dependants.At any time you can change the selected hospital for each member.

SELF REGISTRATION

You can self register using the NHIF USSD or Mobile Phone Apps. The Requirements are National ID Number, Date of Birth , Mobile Phone Number .

CHOOSE FACILITY

Choose preffered Out-patient hospital for Priciple member and dependants.

CHANGE FACILITY

Chanhe preffered Out-patient facilities for Priciple member and dependants. Change of facility is effective on next quater.

PAYMENT

Pay for Monthly contributions, Payment of Penalties and Arrears using Mpesa Paybill or Initiate an ‘Lipa na Mpesa Payment Online’ Request
