Nyambaria Boys gets overwhelming 2024 form one admission requests, as process gets underway

It was a beehive of activities as 2024 form one admission kicked off on Monday morning at Nyambaria Boys High school.

Hundreds of Parents accompanied by their sons reported as early as 3.00am to avoid the long queues. By 7.00am, over 500 students had registered.

Not even the morning drizzles could dampen the young men’s quest for a chance at the school. They braved the chilly weather and enthusiasm could be seen on their glowing faces.

The Senior students in form 2 to 4, were strategically placed at the entry points to guide the visitors and even helped them carry the metallic boxes, mattresses and other personal effects.

“Am happy to be here this morning. We left Nairobi at about 2am. Nyambaria had been my dream school”. Said Martin who is among the 2024 form one students at the school.

Teachers at the school guided parents and learners and ensured the admission process was flawless.

‘The school has received over three thousand application requests for form one admissions against a capacity of about 700.’ A teacher at the school told this reporter.

The Ministry of Education had placed about 1,000 students at the Nyamira County based school.

The admission process runs from 15th to 19th January, 2023.

This comes at the back drop of the school’s recent tribulations that saw KCSE 2023 results for their 18 candidates withheld by Knec.

The school topped at the KCSE 2022 exams.

Other schools whose KCSE 2023 results were withheld include: St. Mary’s Tachasis and Samoei Boys from Nandi County.

 

Candidates at St. Mulumba Matinyani Boys Secondary school also had their results withheld. Gekano Boys, Cardinal Otunga Mosocho and Nyakongo Boys suffered the same fate.
