Placement of grade 10 learners to Senior Schools- Education Ministry’s Latest Communication

There has been a meeting on placement of grade 10 learners to senior schools and was guided as below:

1. Replacement of learner is done at junior school level from the HOIs portal

2. The portal will be open for changes of pathway and schools, a learner can change upto 4 public schools and 1 private school but will wait approval from various stages

3. When trying to find a replacement of a school, the various senior schools will show with the capacity that’s still available

4. C1 schools approvals will be done from HQ jogoo, C2 schools approvals from Regional Directors of Education, C3 schools approvals will be done by the County Director of Education, C4 schools approvals will be done by SCDE

5. When requesting transfer, learners shouldn’t go to the senior schools for a letter but should initiate the process from their junior schools

6. When reporting to a school each learner should have an admission letter generated from the system and has a unique code for each learner , so don’t have a letter given to a learner from a school physically but from the portal and can’t download many admission letters at a go

7. When you get the admission letter, you will take to the senior school and the principal will key in the unique code given to the system for capitation to be generated

8. A learner can change a pathway and subject combination in the school he has been selected .
