Registration of candidates for KCPE, KPEA Exams 2022 – Latest News & Guide

The following is what I have been able to gather from KNEC concerning the ongoing registration for KCPE and KPEA( KENYA PRIMARY EDUCATION ASSESSMENT) for Grade 6 learners.

1: Correct any errors in Grade 6 Nominal rolls in RED. Delete those who have transferred from your school by drawing a RED line along their details. Insert those who have joined your school in RED on the same nominal roll.

2: After everything is corrected in the nominal roll, upload in the KNEC CBA portal, download and print three(3) copies. Sign and stamp the 3 copies for distribution as follows: one copy for KNEC, one for SCDE and the 3rd copy for the school file.

3: From 9/5/2022, all KNEC staff will be in the field to ascertain that the work is going on correctly.

Main Areas of focus will include:

(a) Names of the learners- parents must agree on the names in case of any dispute, so consult them
(b) Order of the names must be clear and correct
(c) Date of birth must be correct
(d) Correct GENDER must be captured for correct placement for Grade 7 at junior secondary school.

NB:
✅As it happened in the last exams, schools with less than 30 candidates will be hosted.

✅KNEC is Not registering new schools for Grade 6 this year.

✅ KNEC assessment Numbers should be shared with both learners and their parents as they will be the same ones used up to Grade 12.
✅ The deadline for registration of Candidates for KCPE, KCSE and KPEA will be on 14/5/2022. There will be no late registration.

I hope things are a bit clearer now. Wish you all the best as you strive to beat the deadline despite the challenges of the KNEC server. On this, I advised you try to do registration during odd hours/ times when the number of online users is small.

NB: Those asking about the learners that have more than one(1) assessment numbers….. KNEC is yet to answer that question.
