  • Assists the DPO in ensuring ballot papers are placed in the right boxes
  • Monitors the movement of voters in the polling room
  • Marks the small finger of the left hand with indelible
  • Incase of colored nails, mark between the index finger and the middle finger
  • Marks the thumb nail of the voter assistant, in case the thumb nail is colored, marks between the pointing finger and the thumb
  • Hands over the voter’s ID/ Passport to the voter
  • Directs the voters out of the Polling
