Ruto unveils new list of appointed Cabinet Secretaries

Four members of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) have been nominated among six others as nominees for Cabinet Secretary positions in the Kenya Kwanza government.

The Four ODM members are Wycliffe Oparanya, who has been nominated as Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs,

Hassan Joho (Mining Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs), James Opiyo Wandayi (Energy and Petroleum), and John Mbadi as the National Treasury and Economic Planning CS.

The four are among the six CSs, nominees nominated today by President William Ruto, who seeks to have a broad base government.

Others include former Attorney General Justin Muturi, who has gone to Public Service and Human Capital Development; Dr. Alfred Mutua has been moved from the Tourism to Labour and Social Protection, Salim Mvurya, former mining CS, moves to Investment, Trade, and Industry; Kipchumba Murkomen, former Transport CS has been nominated as the Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports; Rebecca Miano, who had earlier been nominated as Attorney General, has now been moved to Tourism and Wildlife; while Stella Soi was nominated for the Gender, Culture, the Arts, and Heritage docket.
