Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has challenged students to study Information Technology, Finance and Environmental studies if they want to become future top earners.

Nyoro said a study shows the richest people in the world have a background in IT, Finance and Environmental studies and that Kenyan students should keenly consider choosing these courses as they go to university or tertiary institutions.

โ€œAs you study in school, it is important for you to know at this age as you go to university, you are more likely to become a billionaire if you are in these sectors,โ€ Nyoro insisted as graced Form Four candidatesโ€™ prayers and awarding last yearโ€™s KCSE top performance in Aldai constituency at an event held in Kobujoi center.

The MP noted that one gains financial freedom faster if working or doing business in the IT sector.

Nyoro also revealed that a study shows top earners in Kenya and other parts of the world leading countries are in areas of finance.

According to him, students should consider studying the environmental related courses because of the effects of climate change is pushing countries and organisations to adopt sustainable growth and development.

He further challenged students to choose study areas that are relevant to their age or generation.

The host Aldai MP Maryanne Kitany said that she had put the 39 constituency Day secondary schools into a feeding program as a key step towards improving academic performance.

Nandi Governor Stephen Sang also called on the Members of the National Assembly to work on the controversial students funding model so that it accommodates all targeted students.
