School Games: Brookside donates Ksh.30 million for Term 1 2025 KSSSA Games
Brookside Dairy has donated Ksh.30 million to support the 2025 Kenya Secondary Schools Term One National Games. This money will help with preparations, uniforms for the participants, and medals and certificates for the winners.
The games will be held from April 8 to 12, 2025, in Mombasa, taking place at Shimo la Tewa, Shanzu, and Aga Khan Schools.
Wilson Okong’o, the Corporate Communications Manager at Brookside, said the company is dedicated to helping young athletes and plans to work more with the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) in the future.
Nelson Sifuna, who represents the Ministry of Education, received the donation and praised Brookside for their ongoing support, highlighting how it helps young athletes.
KSSSA Secretary General, David Ngugi, mentioned that more than 3,000 athletes are expected to take part in this year’s games, which will include sports like athletics, basketball, hockey, cross-country, handball, rugby, and swimming.
Brookside Dairy has been sponsoring these competitions since 2002, helping many young athletes move on to play at club levels both in Kenya and internationally.
Okong’o expressed pride in this initiative, stating that many talented participants from these games have gone on to play professionally. He assured students that Brookside will continue to support them.
